The solid Red Cedar shells are wonderfully attractive with a very fine, even texture and straight grain. The heartwood is a beautiful reddish to violet-brown.

Roosebeck offers a selection of designs to meet your unique performance needs. From 3.5" to deep 7" shells, single bar, cross bar, and discreet inside tuning bolts. An added feature on some models, a double-skinned head offers a more pleasant tone, and a deeper sound than a single-skinned Bodhran Double skin bodhrans are also more sensitive to touch at the back, allowing players to manipulate the tone with slight pressure.
